Journal Entry 1

It's been awhile since I've done a blog post on this site. I'd like to start doing journal entrys as one of the daily things I do on here. One topic that I want to bring up is this pandemic and how I wish that by summer of this year things start to change for the better. I know we cannot really predict anything, but it's just an idea that things should and could get better if we work together to make it so. I'd like to (and many others) see my family and friends and actually interact with others like human beings. It's important to follow the rules and regulations right now, but I do know deep down we all need human interaction and to at least see a smile on someone's face, not covered by a mask. Right now it's important that we heal ourselves and practice self-care. Eating well, getting enough rest, dressing up, keeping yourself clean and just staying happy and hopefull through all of this. If we hope and wish towards a happier and more successful future and manifest it, it will happen. One day we'll look back and think about those who we've lost and realize that we've lived through a pandemic and acknowledge the fact that it was hard, but we got through it! It will end up in history books, but we can say that we lived through it and were paitent. I just feel like we all need to look at the good things in life and be grateful for what we have and not focus on what we don't have. Things that I've been doing that have been helping me are:

  • Listening to uplifting music (and maybe singing if you're in the mood)

  • Doing arts and crafts for either fun or home decor purposes

  • Journalling everyday to get all your feelings and emotions down on paper

  • Talking to friends or family via the internet or safe distancing

  • Cook! I know you might not know how to, but it's fun and worth learning

  • Working out or doing yoga passes time and is also very good for your health

  • Writing your friends and family hand written letters, or maybe a love letter

  • Start your own blog! Get your thoughts and feelings out in the world

  • If you're into gaming, make some friends online and play for a couple hours a day and have some fun. It takes your mind off of things

I believe things will get better. We need to continue to pray and hope that things will turn around soon. We're in this together, no matter what. This is our home and our planet, we cannot die out. We're alive to live a life, not to wear masks and isolate from other human beings.
